Barefoot Brothers Construction was founded in 2004 by Winter Park developer Griff Jenkins and world champion Ron Scarpa. Ron and his wife Elisa had spent their early careers as world-class barefoot waterskiers competing at the highest international levels — and the mindset that drives elite athletes, the attention to detail, the refusal to cut corners, the pride in doing things right — is the same mindset they bring to every project today.
 

Ron is an IWSF and American Hall of Fame inductee who transitioned from a decorated athletic career and marine product development into general contracting, project development, and real estate acquisition. A family background in design and construction shaped his practical, detail-oriented approach to building. As a licensed general contractor, he oversees every project from start to finish, coordinating a trusted network of skilled subcontractors to ensure the highest standard of work at every stage.
 

Originally from Italy, Elisa is a former professional barefoot waterskier and national champion. She brings an equally strong foundation to the business side — raised in a home where her mother worked in interior design and her father in textiles, she has an intuitive sense for space, proportion, and finish. As office manager, interior specialist, and client liaison, she creates spaces that are cohesive, welcoming, and tailored to the way clients truly live. Ron's technical and structural focus pairs naturally with Elisa's interior and client-facing strengths, making them a balanced partnership in both life and business.
 

Over the past two decades, Barefoot Brothers has earned a reputation as one of Greater Orlando's most trusted general contracting operations. Our award-winning work has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute — including Best Private Improvement for the East End Market in Audubon Park Garden District (2014) and the 2018 AIA Orlando Design Awards Built Award of Honor for healthcare design, earned for our work on the Castro PHMD medical office.
